A large negative though is that there isn't a kid's play area to help parents distract their children while waiting for connections. Also, it would be nice if there was 1 single food court that was large instead of 2 or 3 smallish food areas.
The good is that the airport is reasonably maintained and that the concession prices are reasonable. The bad is that the layout means that the same carrier may be spread across several terminals, which can make a person have to make a mad dash to their connecting flight. If they could correct that, it would make traveling through there a better experience.
I fly very often and being based on of Salt Lake City, this is my primary airport. Although they are currently renovating, the airport maintains quick and speedy processes. It is very clean and the team is very friendly. I would advice giving yourself extra time if you are leaving in the morning, it seems a bit more busy then evening flights.
We went to Cat Cora's when our plane had landing gear problems and we had to turn around and wait for a new plane. Cat Cora's is classy, beautifully presented, delicious food served by such a friendly gal who is great at recommending. Best layover EVER. This airport scored a great establishment.
probably one of the best airports in the nation in a few aspects. security is reasonable, food selections are good enough, and accessibility is good.
Definitely one of the best airports in the country. Extremely reliable on departures and arrivals. Very affordable parking and a wide selection of transportation to and from Downtown Salt Lake which you can reach within 10 minutes. Security lines move fairly quick. Only drawback it's the lack of food establishments throughout the airport serving alcoholic beverages...Bummer.
