What a breathtakingly beautiful park in downtown Salt Lake City. Even in October, there is a variety of fragrant flowers to enjoy. It feels so peaceful to walk among the fountains, stunning architecture and see the array of colorful flowers. If you are a flower lover, you must come here.

It was worth the time to explore the area and understand the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) movement/culture and history. You can also get a good perspective of the State of Utah as well. Parking is pretty easy across the street in the mall parking structure. there are many tours in many languages. The genealogy building is also interesting with the free version software set up as well.

- Come around dusk to see how colorful the sky becomes behind the temple!

Amazingly beautiful place...not only the gardens, but the volunteers and missionaries who help you interpret your visit throughout the Square. Do NOT miss the lookout atop the Administration building in which a volunteer will take you up and point out lots of things in the Square and beyond. The Temple building exhibit in the South Visitor Center was very interesting and missionaries very helpful in learning more about the Mormon faith and the buildings in the Square. We asked at the North Visitor Center to see "The Legacy" and 2 lovely missionaries, one from Thailand and the other from Guatemala, set up the theatre just for us to watch this very interesting film about how the Mormons came to settle in SLC. The Square has some of the most beautiful annual gardens I have ever seen. Park in City Creek (the mall area that is across the street from the Square)...first 2 hours are free.

I love this place. Good restaurants. Beautiful gardens. The temple is a remarkable building. The people are very friendly. The atmosphere is very uplifting. A must see for all.

Pro Tip:

Temple Square is a breathtakingly beautiful area in the middle of Salt Lake City. It's always clean and peaceful. I love taking walks around this area and going into the visitors centers. I highly recommend stopping by this Utah landmark on your way through SLC.

Whether you are a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints or not, this is is a lovely place for a stroll.
