The new Vivint Arena truly is remarkable. I had gone to the Staples Center for the first time in LA just 2 days before I went to the new Vivint Arena and was still blown away. Love the new beer station additions as well as how much more roomy it feels.
Love the new upgrades, has a much more open feel and modern look. And all new padded seats throughout the whole arena that are way more comfortable than the old green ones. I have had so many good times and seen some amazing things through the years at this arena and I'm looking forward to many more in the future. It's one of Salt Lake City's many gems. GO JAZZ!!
I thought that things hit rock bottom when the naming rights were sold to a nuclear waste dump but I'm wrong. Now a company with pushy salespeople selling crappy home security solutions has taken over. The selection of drinks has dropped but the price has gone up. Their security and ushers have decreased. We were sitting next to a family with a couple of kids that were out of control. One of the kids knocked over one of our beers as the family wasn't watching their kids. The family was unapologetic telling us that it is just how kids act and to mellow out. We complained to an usher who didn't do anything other than apologize for our experience. We returned to watch the second half and the family with the out of control kids was gone. All four of our seats had spilled ice cream all over them and on the floor. The people sitting in front of us explained that someone was getting an usher to come and clean up the mess. Since this family was nowhere to be seen and our seats were full of ice cream we sat in their seats. They came back and asked us to move. They denied the claim by the people in front of us who claim that they were the ones who spilled ice cream all over the seats. We got into an argument and ended up giving their seats back realizing that until the ushers come to clean up this mess we don't have seats. The ushers never came nor did security show up when we were arguing with this family. We even started looking for an usher since none appeared to be planning to do something about the spill. Don't expect anyone to clean up a mess that leaves you seat less since they simply don't care. If you get into an argument, don't expect security to show up to break up the argument. In the past I've seen out-of-control people get thrown out, not anymore.
The new redesign was very well done. It's so nice to be on top of the action, the way they have made it so that it you feel more a part of the game is nice. And the new seating is also well-thought-out. I also love that they have J Dawgs in there now; hat was a delicious hot dog and pretty well-priced, all things considered.
Best arena in Utah! From Jazz games to concerts, a good time can be had by all! The security is also top notch and you always feel like you're in a safe environment. The only negative is the parking options available. Parking and traffic for any events here are awful, but that's not necessarily the arena's fault. If they improve their parking, they will easily be a 5 star in my book.
