Bias judge. Lacking impartiality. I too lost because a lawyer wasn’t present, but the judge didn’t make it any easier. Even though the other party had a lawyer, he proceeded to defend them. He’d rather defend a man who is a lawyer than a woman with no lawyer. They wrote on their website that small claims court is designed for you to proceed without a lawyer. Lies. If I didn’t feel like I was outrageously wronged I would not have filed a suit in the first place. Not to mention the hours I’ve taken to get the papers together, to file the suit and the transportation costs to and from the court because I live far. They don’t care about low income people and broke college students. He made me feel like there was hope when we were going to lose no matter what we said or did. Actually, I have lost my faith in Mormonism because I know every one of them was Mormon and to be standing and sitting up there lying. It made me think Joseph Smith was a liar too. Turning lies in truth and truth into lies. The judge also lacked empathy skills and asking for evidence that the defendant disposed of along with numerous other belongings that were very valuable to me. Utah court system is a joke.

The staff was so nice. Super helpful.

The judge was very curt, and seemed to be in a hurry to make the decision because of the time running over. I will be appealing this case.

I was there for 3 hours, I lost my case by not having an attorney there.

Called in to ask about an unpaid fine from 8 years ago. Spoke with Gabby. It was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had talking to someone over the phone. She was rude, she was raising her voice and unwilling to help. Pathetic.

Keep calling and they hang up after I been waiting on the line for the to answer so thank you for nothing

The whole process took way too long...I was told 1hr.

The court clerks and the court people were all great.

I suggest if it is a large case, you should have an attorney.
