My toddler begs to come here every day! They have excellent staff who put a lot of work and effort into the activities. It is a fairly new building so everything is in great condition and there is a wide selection of books. We have locations closer to our house but choose to come to this one in stead because we like it better.
Beautiful library, but the reviews about the noise and ruckus are understated. If you miss junior high detention with no supervision, this is the place for you!
The only problems i could see would be the "1:00 crowd", due to the Glendale high school being fairly nearby. Some of the kids from the school can be often loud and rude, but otherwise (sometimes) mean well.
It's unfortunate that this library has become little more than a daycare. If you are looking for a quiet place you should go to any of the other librarys. On any given day there are at least 50 kids screaming, throwing things, playing tag and generally behaving in a way that would ashame anyone with a hint of decorum.
WONDERFUL library, honest staff, wide range of diverse books to choose from, considerably good neighborhood, interesting and well designed architecture.
This is a great place to go, the best part is is that it's close to my house. The only problem is when the Glendale middle school kids come. However, a way to avoid them is to go early during school hours or later in the evening.
