If you can handle the Uptight clientele and don't mind listening to Michael Bolton or Yanni blaring from the yellow Prius out front then this is the place for you, swing by after your Harmon's at city Creek shopping to get a lotta expensive wine for your Expensive gourmet cheeses. Craft beer and higher shelf liquors also sold here. It's one of those "places to be seen" kinda stores as it's the ONLY wine store for miles. Downtown State liquor store on 4th S (no style points), Avenue's Liquor store on 5th N (acceptable accommodations) and the State wine store (totally trendy) are the only places to purchase Regular full strength alcohol in the area unless your at a Bar.
How have I not known Utah has state-owned wine stores until now? I’ve always been disappointed with the options at the liquor store. Will definitely be coming back.
