I'm being generous with two stars only because it does occasionally carry good, solid doctrinal works. The problem is that Sherri Dew (who is otherwise amazing) has turned the place into "chicken soup for the Mormon soul." That is- a boutique of trinkets, art for the wealthy, and fluff books, with occasional good doctrine thrown in.
The book store is laid out so well and it is so comfortable to check out each book. Quality is every where you look and management so kind. I was looking for this book and they helped me find another store I could get it. It is a must for anyone that wants to experience this event.
Over in Layton Deseret Book store, they refused to return it because of a "crease in the spine" (see my review for the Layton Deseret store.) If the stores are refusing returns because of these "creases" they need to be reminded that is a book store. People will look through them that will cause these creases on the spine. And because I didn't have time to look through them, they sold me a book with this crease in the spine. I am advised to go back to SLC by the Layton store to have this corrected but with my hectic schedule that's going to be tough.
This Store is AMAZING!! i just wish i had at least 1000 dlls to spend here well more like 5 k . they are really nice. the ultimate lds store in my opinion
Well designed interior. Products are well placed and stacked. Every time we stopped by the location had friendly staff and kept the place clean. We went occasionally and would find good deals. We got a family sized Book of Mormon in fancy leather backing $100 dollars off. We will cherish this forever.
Bought a book for $40 dollars. Only had time to skim through it. Due to my hectic work schedule was unable to look more into it until today and found out that it wasn't of my interests so I wanted to return it.
