Everyone is friendly I enjoy the service
Mt. Tabor is a little, unexpected jewel in the city. We attended a service there with Pastor Jeff Louden and I must say it was one of the most profound experiences that I have had in church. There is a depth to the way that he prepared the sermon and a "realness" that is hard to describe. I sat there and tears rolled down my cheeks the whole time! (THAT was a surprise!) The sanctuary is ROUND and simply beautiful, and I felt that it had a special energy. The community was also warm and inviting. I would definitely go back.
This church might be okay for people of a certain type, and a handful were friendly enough to me, but most made a concerted effort to exclude me from participation and my efforts to volunteer were not welcomed. Needless to say, I finally quit trying. I find it puzzling that the current pastor announced on the website shortly after he arrived how "wide open" to everyone Mount Tabor was.
