Was out on the town last night and bumped into a guy who was celebrating his 21st birthday, I told him I would buy him a drink and he said he was headed to Cheers. I bought a round of drinks, hung out for a moment and was about to part ways when the bartender (the same one many other reviews have complained about and was even pictured in one) asked me why I didn't leave him tip. I told him I simply was buying one round for the birthday boy and he told me I shouldn't bother to go to a bar if I wasn't going to tip.
Cheap drinks, lively crowd, and fun atmosphere. Many of our nights out start at Cheers because it's easy and inexpensive to get started with a few drinks. Always fun with a group of friends.
The employees at this bar, and specifically Tyler, gave my guests and I a terrible customer experience because of their huge ego and biased opinions about new customers seeking entry. Our group was well mannered however our entry was denied for unecessary reasons which were not clearly defined by any employees, but rather they simply had a closed minded point of view with no understanding of being able to provide a polite customer experience to new guests. Don't go to this bar or you'll risk getting punched by one of their deranged and ignorant body guards. Beware of the violent and false ideals of their incompetent employees. There was nothing but negative vibes coming from this terrible bar. Please save yourself from the bad experiences by avoiding this bar until their employees are replaced and re trained on their job which they clearly lack the ability to perform.
I'm a bartender myself and I would never tell a new patron at my bar that they had to tip me on every single drink they bought or else they weren't welcome. That just blew my mind. I tried to tell him the situation but he instead told me I wouldn't be allowed in the bar ever again. I said "Do you think I would want to come back to this piece of **** bar again?" He responded again with I wasn't allowed to come back. I politely told him to go **** himself as I left.
Reading these other reviews I can see that this wasn't an isolated incident and that everyone from management right on down to their infamously rude doormen are just the worst type of trash people. I honestly don't know how this place stays in business with all these terrible reviews that are all complaining about the same thing-TERRIBLE SERVICE. It's not a hard thing to correct, and with so many other great bars within immediate walking distance idk why anybody would frequently attend this joke of an establishment.
Would give 0 stars if possible.
A wonderful dive bar with cheap drinks, and good company. They have bar games, Sunday Football has free hot-dogs and brats, and the staff is pleasant and affable. Don't come here if you expect table service or you're shy or afraid to speak up. The drinks are cheap, come here to pre-game before other stuff. High end bars are down the street, respect this place for what it does.
The staff here are nice and it has a good atmosphere but it is always crowded which makes the narrow path into the bar a pain to walk through. I just prefer the bars that offer a place to chill out and this one isn't that, at least for me. I know lots of people who consider this their favorite bar though so check it out yourself to decide.
