With the food I want to ask what happened? They got rid of Krispy Kreme and pizza hut. Instead they "make" their own and Lord help you if a doughnut touches anything, there goes all the glaze and frosting. The salad bar is a joke, prices went up and the ingredients don't seem fresh anymore. Want a wrap or sandwich? Enjoy your half head of Ice berg lettuce then a small tomato and meat pushed to the edge to make it look like a proper sandwich, open it up and the sandwich is 75-80% lettuce. The wrap is decent but the meat is "iffy" crispy hard "grilled" chicken that looks like dog food.
Don't waste your time or money.
The service was fairly quick and the cashiers were great but the food was bland. I am disappointed that I spent $6 on a boring sandwich.
If I could give lower I would. I used to love going to BC Cafe on my way to work or during lunch as it was nearby. The food WAS good, prices were low, staff WERE friendly overall I had no real complaints.
Essentially the food quality has decreased greatly, prices have increased. The staff couldn't care less about you and the owner just seems to be finding the cheapest way he can buy anything then marking it up 80%-100% regardless if you are getting a smaller portion now and the quality is less.
The sandwich lacked flavor other than the weird sweet flavor. (I wonder if they used miracle whip instead if mayo...?) I suggest hat they add flavor by adding delicious veggies and flavorful cheese.
I would absolutely avoid this place at all cost. The Gateway food court is a few minutes away and City Creek's food court is 3-4 blocks away. Get on the trax. If you go to the mall's food court you at least get your dollars worth. It's a joke that this place is supposed to help feed students. They don't even have a proper place for suggestions or complaints. The owner should sell to someone who knows how to run a business or the school should get someone else in charge.
That was until about start of this year and the overall quality went completely down the drain. Staff are too busy talking with each other, act annoyed when you walk up to the register when its empty and even more so when they are busy. They are not helpful, ask them anything and they are cold with their answers and that is just the staff.
I still haven't had anything that I've liked yet. Everything seems to be cooked in grease. I feel sick after I eat there. I got a yogurt cup with "fresh" fruit and the fruit was all over-ripe. The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy are crunchy. The pancakes are also covered in grease and don't taste very good at all. It would be nice to not have to walk to city creek to find something good to eat.
I was also disappointed to discover that they didnt have any vegetarian or vegan options. I hope the manager consider investing in vegetarian options.
The food is way too expensive for what it’s worth. The portions are small and the food is extremely bland.
Quick service, convenient location and tasty food for the cheap price you pay. No complaints what so ever.
