Staff are friendly and accommodating. Delicious foods with reasonable price. Must come back again soon.
I rarely eat here for lunch or dinner, but to comment - the one time I tried the chicken salad it had lettuce that was on the turn, and seemed very dry. The sandwiches, on the other hand, are great. The meat is unprocessed, and is usually done perfectly. They keep it under a hot light, and cut it just before placing it on your sandwich. Just take care with the cashier to put in any special requests, and ensure that any concerns are addressed up front because you will be hard pressed to interact with the chefs later.
The space is wonderful. Tall ceilings and big open windows make it a great place to eat lunch. The food is good, nothing amazing, but there are parts that shine. The mango chutney in their ham sandwich is delicious, however, the rest felt a bit lacking. As a whole, the food is worth a try, but it's missing something to push it into a memorable experience.
This used to be a place to get a great breakfast at a good price. Since they changed the format, the food quality has dropped, and prices are higher.
The food tastes awesome. The prices are reasonable. The establishment is clean. The service is fast.
For those wanting coffee with their breakfast, you should stop at the Starbucks down the street before hand as they do not serve coffee here.
As for the breakfast menu options, they are outstanding. Some of my favorites are the loaded potatoes, creme brulé french toast, and french style omelettes. The french toast is a real treat, but will make those of you who are conscious of your diet feel guilty after trying it.
The food was great and affordable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. When I was staying in SLC I ate most of my meals there.
I used to get a simple meal consisting of oatmeal, and plain eggs for about $3.85. It now costs $4.62, but the worst part is that because you now order first with the cashier, and are unable to interact with the chef, if your food comes out unsatisfactory (burnt eggs - twice in a row now), it's an inconvenience to get it fixed. Previously, you would order directly with the chef, and stand close enough to watch them prepare your food. Under your watchful eye they seemed to take better care. They could also up-sell you such as by asking if you would like salsa with your eggs, or if you would like to add berries and whipped cream, and take requests like "could you lightly butter the toast?". The old format was fantastic, and it's a shame that they changed it.
