Quick, reliable service that you're going to pay a premium for. Had my AC go out, these guys were the only ones who could get my car into the shop soon. They found the problem within a hour of opening up (took the car in the night before), and had it fixed within 2 hours. Popped a new compressor in there. Quality and speed of work is good, but they marked up the price of the part significantly ($600 for a compressor... seriously?). You get what you pay for though, 2 year warranty on an OEM part that I fully intend to take advantage of if the part fails in 2 years. Otherwise I'm going to buy the parts myself and have a mechanic put it in and save myself $400.
A few days later and the car is returned to me. One week after I retrieve my car from AAMCO I notice oil is AGAIN pooling around my tires and my rear breaks are no longer working. I bring the car back to AAMCO and they assure me that they are going to get to the bottom of things. Three days later they call me and I pick up the car. Apparently you don't need to lubricate the bearings on my car. I guess they didn't know that and proceeded to fill the bearing housing with oil.
Once again I have retrieved my car from AAMCO and yet again there is an issue with the repair. As I am driving to work there is a very loud humming noise and an alarming amount of vibration coming from the rear axial. I call AAMCO and again have to bring the car back for a re-re-re-repair. This is the fourth return trip to the shop.
I will not be returning to AAMCO for a fifth time without legal representation. This is clearly a case of gross negligence and incompetence of their staff in quality control. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WORKED ON BY THIS COMPANY!
I had been to transmission hell. Had 4 bad transmissions in a year and a half. Took it to this shop after the third bad one. And after the previous shop gave them another bad one, they put a new one in and made everything right. Paid for all those rebuilds when I should have came here first. Best shop in town!
I drop the car off and they have it for 3 WEEKS! No news of what is going on with my car. Only that "they are working on it." Finally I get a response and they tell me that they never actually replaced the bearings that I had paid them to replace the first time. They are ordering the parts and I will have my car back in a couple of days.
After the repairs had been completed I picked up my car and drove home. A few days later, I notice oil pooling around the rear tires of my car. Oil is seeping out of the seals I was told had been replaced. I returned the car to them and they assured me they would find out what is wrong.
I was driving between Colorado and California and my gears started slipping. Luckily I was able to make it to my aunt's in salt lake. Aamco was able to send a complimentary tow truck and get me a diagnosis right away. Duke in the office went out of his way to find a refurbished transmission that could be here ASAP. They were prompt, communicative, courteous, and thorough. They initially misquoted the clutch replacement, but had the integrity to honor the original quote. The other quotes I received from nearby shops were significantly more. It was a great relief in the midst of this ordeal to feel like I was working with mechanics that understood my situation and did their best to get me on the road as soon as possible at the lowest possible price. As of now my truck is shifting smoothly and I am incredibly grateful.
Doesn't even deserve a single star. I brought my car to these guys in February. They charge a $300 inspection fee just to tell you what is wrong with the vehicle. For that amount of money, you hand is pretty much forced. Regardless of whether you agree with their price, you are already into it $300. I was told that my rear axial seals had gone bad and I needed new bearings, breaks, and rotors. The repairs would cost $2300.00.
Great, I received my car on Monday and drive to work all week on it, until I begin to notice a smell of burning oil. A quick inspection of the rear differential reveals that oil seeping from the rear input shaft and it is whipping oil onto the undercarriage of the car. This includes the hot exhaust pipe. I hope my car doesn't catch fire while I am driving it.
Thanks to Kurt and team for taking care of my Dodge I brought to them today. Thanks for all the extra effort to get me back on the road!
