I used to work at the sugarhouse location a couple years ago. I was in a rough patch and dealing with some personal issues at the time. I had to leave Burt's Brothers on very short notice. The store manager, Jimmy, wasn't very happy about my absence.
I then left and noticed the front lobby had about 6-7 customers waiting. One of which was standing at the counter next to me.
I also requested an alignment, and the technician advised me that my alignment wasn't that bad, but I still requested to have it adjusted because my steering wheel was off-kilter.
Went in later that day and they were packed. They still got me in almost immediately and started working on the truck.
My car broke down as I was passing through Salt Lake on I-80. I called a few shops and these guys were super helpful. The fixed my car and had me back on the road in just a few hours. I found everyone at the shop to be helpful and can not thank them enough for helping in such short notice. And the best part is my car is running great!
Always a great experience when I come here. The staff is positive, friendly, and easy to talk to. Both times I have gotten my car worked on it was done far sooner than expected which is always a positive surprise! Love these guys!
I replied, " I'd like to pick up a set of all seasons and get scheduled for an alignment."
They then set about putting some new tires on, and they worked fast and efficiently.
They got to work on it but unfortunately they were unable to adjust it due to some seized nuts. They sprayed some WD-40 and told me to come back another day and they could do it later.
I then replied, "I just need tires and an alignment. Can you do that for me or is that a problem?"
I was asked by Jimmy, "what the hell are you doing here?"
As I watched, they had some trouble getting a lug nut off of one of my lug studs, so they took the time to clean and re-cut the threads to prevent it from worsening, and they didn't charge me anything for it.
They had stayed late to try to finish things up for me, which I appreciated. My only complaint is the pricing of the alignment, as $70 for a two-wheel alignment seems crazy to me. I was hoping to get a better deal since I had purchased tires from them as well.
He then replied, "what makes you think you should be in here wanting to buy tires?"
After about 6 months I came into the sugar house location for tires and an alignment and was met with great enthusiasm by the counter staff...that is until Jimmy came to the front desk and realized who I was. After his recognition of me, his attitude and friendliness was gone.
Called ahead to set up a time to have new tires put on my truck. They were friendly over the phone and set up a time for me to come in the same day.
Jimmy replies, "No. I'm not doing that for you. Get the hell out of here."
Service was great, truck feels great, pricing for tires was fair, overall a great experience. I'll be returning here.
If you don't want to pay more for repairs that they break on your car when you take it in, don't bring your car here. We have been here twice, with two different cars. First time, they broke my dipstick and wouldn't fix it. Now they've lost two of my locking lug nuts and said I took my car in like that, and then one now they've jammed up now with the threading... They told me that's $50 to fix.... Uh f you guys. I didn't break that and I had all my locking lug nuts on.
