I had willingly checked myself in to get the mental help I needed I was transferred here from Alta view hospital. Well the nurses were sweet and some of the staff. But when I was released I came in with my belongings like my globe skate boarding shoes and my purse. Well they managed to give me my Identification card and social security card which was in my purse. needless to say i left the hospital bare footed and without my purse very unprofessional.

I didn’t appreciate the lack of knowledge the techs had, as they were not able to understand my compulsive skin picking behavior and only saw it as self harm with an intent to cause purposeful injury. This was not so. Understanding isn’t their thing I guess. They didn't care about what I had to say (I’m the patient and they were the staff, clearly I’m not worthy of their time) when I tried to explain to them the complexity of skin picking disorder, as my health professionals in the past have to me.

The biggest thing that really got me was the dehumanization and lack of respect. I shouldn’t be able to hear the nurses station from across the unit from them laughing loudly and being obnoxious. It was horrible at night too, and very very disrespectful to the people that came to heal, that are trying to sleep.

The Doctors and the RNs even sometimes were wonderful, but unfortunately we spent the most time with the Techs, which is to be expected.

I did not know this existed, what an amazing concept. Where else are they going to send the victims of the recently announced pornography public health crisis sweeping across our state right now. SLC consistently sets new records the worst air pollution in the country, meh, but wait look! Little Mathew is using the internet for unholy purposes, public health crisis! Rush that poor child to the LDS! I honestly don't know how our Governor is able breath unassisted. I'm just glad he got his bball game back while at the same time showing the U of U AD that they might have inventoried some cameras incorrectly. Coach K should pick up the tab for that half mill audit, I heard he hacked all the computers with the porn epidemic virus too. He might get the firing squad if this behavior continues.

Each experience I have had with this hospital has been amazing. From the lab, to the maternity floor, to the classes offered, every person I have interacted with has been amazing. They are very thoughtful and put the needs of you first. They were always concerned about my comfort and health and everyone was so friendly while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. Additionally, the staff took the time to send a card after the arrival of my daughter that was signed by my doctor and all of the nurses that cared for us while we were there. I had a wonderful experience and I plan on having my future children there as well! I would recommend this hospital in a heartbeat!

I spent a week in the Psych unit and hoped for more than what I got.

I came to LDS wanting to end my life and feeling absolutely hopeless and empty; but to be treated like I’m some sub species of human really made me feel like garbage. The techs gave me a new light on how I saw myself and made me ever more ashamed that I had all these illnesses, and it was embarrassing. There were no patients anywhere near my age, so sometimes when I was lonely, I wanted to make little conversation with an available tech that didn’t have things to do. It hurt when I saw that the tech looked at me like she just saw a roach. Guess what, I’m human too, just like you. I came to heal, not to feel like I’m back in high school being rejected from the Cheer club’s lunch table.

Worst Patient Care in The World! I would NEVER return or recommend any to this hospital . Over 6 hours in the room. No one came to check on me or give me an update on my case. I was in pain and nothing was given for it. When I asked how much longer I was told that I was wasting Kristina time. Dr. Jolley had ill patients that he had to take care of. I ended up just leaving and making an appointment with my MD.
