Went to have new bed sheets washed and folded. Was charged $32.50 for 2 sheets, and 2 pillow cases. It took 2 days to complete. The old man running the shop pulled a random number out of his head and said that's what I had to pay if I wanted my sheets back. *The brand new sheets came out of the package in his shop. It's not like they where excessively dirty.
I used this cleaners for a long period of time with mixed results. I mostly kept going because it was convenient and relatively inexpensive. I finally stopped when I realized I could do a better job of cleaning and pressing shirts at home than they seemed to be able to do on a regular basis.
I did take the shirts back to the cleaners. As expected, they were extremely accommodating. The owner personally spoke with me and apologized. He told me he would do the shirts himself.
We have gotten our cleaning done here for over two years. The staff is extremely friendly. They always do an excellent job!
I am raising my rating by 1 star because of this experience. I can't go any higher simply because of the inconsistency.
Did the Monday Special, figuring I couldn't bear $15 for 4 pcs and 2 ties. I get my clothes back and everything looks great--they've all been pressed nicely and the suit jackets are clean. Then I look at the pants, and not one stain was removed. I'm not sure if they forgot to clean it or what, but it looked the exact same as when I dropped it off. So if you need your suits freshened and pressed, this is your place. If you need stains removed, too, put your money elsewhere.
Update:
I will be taking them back to be redone, and I'm sure they'll be better. They're always very nice, but it's still an inconvenience and I don't think I'll be using them any further.
Jardine's is the dry cleaners I trust. Over the last 3 plus years I've been very pleased with the variety of items I've had cleaned there, coats, a cloth purse, skirts, blouses, etc. They've done miracles on some stains that I did not think they could get out. When I first moved to this area I tried a couple of other dry cleaners but I was not happy with their work nor the price I paid for a job that had to be redone. I'm glad I found Jardine's.
When I picked them up they were spotless, heavily starched as requested and well ironed.
I took two tuxedo shirts in recently. I pointed out make-up stains on the collars and asked that they be removed. I also asked for heavy starch. When I got them back it appeared as though the make-up stains had been removed so I didn't check much further. When I got home and took the plastic off I realized that there's no way that there was heavy starch, or even any starch. The shirts were wrinkled. I also noticed that the subtle rings around the collar and cuffs hadn't been touched. I didn't feel the need to point those out when I dropped them off because I figured that's a very common thing and they should just do that on a regular basis. My mistake.
