back. Because we have a service dog they changed our room to a "dog room". Our room smelled like tobacco every time the heater came on. The ballcock in the toilet sticks so we had to leave the lid off to manually turn on. The inside of the bathroom door is badly scratched from a dog being locked in it. I went down to the desk just now to buy a snack and no one is around. Overall, a bad experience.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn to attend the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) the next day and thought that the hotel was very clean and the staff was very kind and attentive. The restaurant in main lobby area served a delicious steak dinner and Continental breakfast. The hotel is also very close to where I needed to go and to the airport.
Very friendly staff! The front desk is efficient and check in was easy. Nice size Room very clean and comfortable. There's a restaurant and bar on the property. Very convenient! Close to the airport. I will stay here whenever I'm in salt Lake.
In conclusion, if you have to stay here be sure to bring your own lunch and be prepared to keep your expectations VERY low....

I stayed at this location for 4 nights while in town for business. First...DO NOT attempt to eat in the "bistro". For breakfast I was served a large hair with my eggs and potatoes, and the following evening, because of a long day, I decided to give it another try for dinner. I ordered the "grilled" chicken breast with mashed potatoes....my order came with french fries on the plate. I told the server that I had ordered mashed potatoes and not French fries and they took my plate back, scraped off the fries and laid my mashed potatoes on top of the french fry grease on my plate!!!! The "grilled" chicken breast was somewhere less than luke-warm in temperature, not even warm enough to melt the slice of cheese on top of it and was obviously also rendered inedible!! But wait...there's more. On 2 of the 4 nights of my stay my key card would not let me into my room after a long day of work, resulting in a return trip to the lobby to get my key card re-activated to allow me into my room. But..the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning and heat worked well in the room.
I will not staying here again, nor will anyone else from my business.
We only stayed one night, but from the quick airport pickup and friendly greeting at midnight, to the most comfortable bed ever. The room was clean, comfortable and home like. I really enjoyed my stay. We will be back
