I am so glad we found Olympus Cove! Genuine, friendly staff and amazing veterinarians.
GREAT clinic! They've done a wonderful job caring for our dog. Once, when our dog had something lodged in his nose, they let our son (who wants to be a vet) observe the procedure to clear the obstruction. They were so nice and knowledgeable and helpful. Obstruction out, and dog good as new!
I have never met a more compassionate and caring veterinarian and Dr. Tarassov. He has a wealth of knowledge and I trust all my three precious dogs to his care. I highly recommend him for all your veterinary needs.
I calling twice about taking our Rotweiler in for his end of life appointment. We had an appointment before that included a bill for $300+ worth of pills that made him incredibly sick. I specifically asked if there would be any issue with our request and family decision. We walked in with our hearts filled with grief and were met with insults and a suggestion to pay $500 to inject him with horse medicine.
We later found out that this isn't the first time that this individual has insulted and turned away a family. He's a self righteous closed minded fool.
That same day, we chose to go to another clinic that chose to listen and offer compassion to the circumstances that we were face with. Sam will always be remembered for the joy he brought.
Terrible experience.
The reviews seem to reflect that no one else has had the experience here that I did. I'm glad for that, but I still feel sick thinking about this place and the poor choice I made to take my boy here when he was sick. Upon picking my cat up from a tooth removal (I was told a bad tooth had caused the infection) I found him sitting in his own feces, and other animals feces in numerous places on the outside of his carrier. He was many hours post-surgery, anesthesia well wearing off, and he was being sent home with the IV still in his arm. I pointed this out to the vet and he didn't believe me, upon seeing it himself he bragged "Oh, thank you! Now I get to yell at her!" A disgusting joke about mistreating his assistant. He took my cat into the back and told me to go pay. As I discovered the bill, which was much higher than we discussed that morning, I could hear terrible yowling and crying and a kerfuffle from the back, my sweet 16 year old cat was in horrible pain. This went on for about ten minutes and I begged to go back and help, denied. By the time the vet came back out with him the top of his carrier was broken and he was insisting my cat was violent and I should be careful with him. Absolutely not true, never has been, my partner and I we're able to interact with him immediately without issue. Their mistreatment and putting him through that much pain so far beyond anesthesia was clearly problematic. I immediately took him to another vet, got them his records and showed them the pulled tooth. I was told that the meds we'd been prescribed (effectively cat opioids) were not wise for the infection/healing from surgery, and that if the infection had been dealt with properly in the first place he wouldn't have needed the extraction at all. This was the most costly and painful mistake I've ever made on his behalf, I should have gotten a second option but was too worried about his condition. When I spoke with the owner(head vet?) I was essentially told that I was lying, despite evidence and a witness, and they owed me nothing. Please, choose another veterinarian.
