I wish I could say this was the only complaint about the doctor's at St. Mark's but unfortunately it isn't. I have one more post I feel the need to share. As for my mother this was our experience..
After realizing Moore had no interest in trying to examine her further we (My sister and I) decided to take our mother to intermountain hospital where the doctor gave my mother a exrays and scans and determined she had stomach cancer. At that point there was nothing they could do. It was only a matter of days before she was gone. Dr. Moore did not do her job regardless of our pleas. She was always unpleasant and unconcerned when we would visit her office. I can't even begin to express our anger with Dr Moore in this review. We haven't made a decision on how we plan to deal with or pursue with what we believe was a serious lack of concern and neglect on Dr Moore's part. If she had taken our mom's complaints seriously maybe our mother wouldn't have had to suffer so much before she passed. Or even passed at all! Thank you Dr Moore everything you didn't do to look further into what could be causing my mothers health problems. My mother went from jumping in the car with my sister and I to go shopping to not being able to get out of bed and crying about her pain. In a heartbeat she was gone. I am currently seeking the advice and suggestion from a legal stand point to see what can be done.
If you need to talk to someone FORGET IT! You can only leave a message then it takes who knows how long for them to get back to you. When they do finally call the problem is relayed again and then another wait.
My family doctor decided to go into corporate practice (without telling his patients) so having just turned 65, I decided to move to Dr. Herold at the St. Mark's Senior Health Center. My first visit with him was today, and I am extremely impressed. He took LOTS of time with me, asked a lot of questions, shared some great opinions and input, and made me feel appreciated as a new patient. His staff was also extremely helpful and friendly. I think I've made a good move here. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Herold and his staff!
I've been seeing Dr. Rahimi since I turned 65 in May of 2016. As my primary care physician, he quickly caught up on my history, and addressed all issues, including circulation problems and chronic back pain, not to mention missed shots, immunizations, and blood tests. He is a compassionate listener and knowledgeable resource on this journey of getting older. Dr. Rahimi has referred me to great specialists, and followed up on all referrals. He has a great sense of humor, (for a doctor), and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled partner in health.
I can't even describe the amount of disappointment I have experienced with my mother at this place. Her doctor was Dr. Moore. My mother suffered severe pain and we would repeatedly go to Dr Moore and Dr Moore would send my mother home with nothing more than her suggestion to take my mother to a physical therapist. My mother was 79 could barely walk in her own. Pleading with Moore that's there has to be something more to my mothers pain. She did nothing! My mother died May 8th 2017.
I've taken both my parents to Dr. Moore for 2+ years, both struggling with levels of aging and dementia. She's kind, attentive, thorough, understands medicine interactions, and doesn't through medicine at the problem. About six months ago, I recommended her to a friend who needed a personal physician while dealing with Parkinson's disease. She helped him regulate his medicine and coordinated with the Parkinson's specialist to improve his overall care. She's a great physician!
