Thanks for being amazing with my dogs. Unfortunately they are both gone now and I'm devastated, but I felt like I was with family the last hour I had with my Spike. Thanks for the hugs and support and taking time with me through a difficult decision.
This used to be a great place to take our pets when Dr. Wilde was still working. He has since retired and it has changed a lot. I brought my dog in because she had a tumor on her head. They removed the tumor but apparently they didn't get all of it because it hasn't been more than 6 months and it's grown back. Then I brought in my cat because she was losing hair around her eyes. The only thing they could do was sell me some really expensive cat food. When after 3 weeks there was no change I called them and they told me to bring in the bag of food for a refund. They used the word "REFUND" multiple times. I told them the bag was almost empty and they said that was okay, just bring it in and we'll refund it. Well, the didn't refund it. They put a credit on my account. I requested that they mail me a check and after arguing with Samantha at the front desk and talking to the Dr. I was assured that a check would be issued. About a week and half later is when we noticed my dog's tumor again and made an appointment to bring her in. They applied the amount of my "refund" to my dog's bill. The thing is, as I explained to them when I was there returning the food that they told me to bring in for a REFUND, this is my daughter's cat and it's her money and I want it kept separate from my money. I will not be bringing any of my animals back. If you looking for a vet I recommend Healing Hearts Animal Hospital. They are so much more reasonable too. The visit for them to look at my dog and give her prednisone (which comes in generic) and an antibiotic (which probably comes in generic) was $140.00. That's ridiculous.
This vet is expensive, I won't argue that. However, if you are someone that believes in quality over quantity, this shouldn't bother you. I adopted a cat that was severely abused. After taking her to Banfield and being told to put her down, my father in law suggested taking her to Dr. Wilde. She stayed with Dr. Wilde for three days and returned home in stable condition on the up and up. Three years later, you would never know my little girl had experienced any trauma. I love this vet and their staff. They genuinely care about the animals that come in and I have never experienced anything bad. Recently, I ended up taking in another stray and am taking him into Dr. Wilde tomorrow. There are other vets local to here that are much cheaper, but I trust the work of this office and definitely Dr. Wilde's care.
I had taken my dog here about a week ago. He was having breathing issues. Like shortness of breath. We went in for a check up they told us it was just a virus. They gave us antibiotics to help but it didn't seem to be working at all so we took him again and got X-rays to diagnose him. We were told it was a digestion problem and that they will give us stronger medication. It was indicated that it wasn't something that we had to worry about it. We take him home and a couple days go by he collapses we take him to a different hospital and we find out that the X-rays indicated that it was something EXTREMELY serious. My dog went into cardiac arrest later that day. We received the worst news ever. My bestfriend had passed away. I just want to make people aware of this issue if you think it's something very serious I wouldn't recommend coming here. I lost my bestfriend for something that we could have prevented if the doc had payed more attention to the X-rays. Instead they just gave me a bunch of drugs that had nothing to do with what my dog was dealing with. Sorry about the novel. I just wanted to share my experience with people that way the samething doesn't happen to them. Thanks for your time.
I've taken my dog in a few times. I really like this Vet. He is great with my dog, even gave me a little note that said "very well behaved dog". He explains what he suspects is going on, what he is going to do, why, how the dog may react, etc. I've stayed through the exam. he explains the findings and diagnosis. He shows me the results. Explains the treatment. Gives me the meds and tells me what to do. I'm an RN and really appreciate the clear information.
