Only one register open. They announce "We will be closing in 30 minutes" so I get in line. 50 minutes later I'm out the door. the poor cashier was working herself ragged while other managers were walking around doing who know what. nearly and hour in line? I may never go back and I bought $450 in clothing (not clearance).
I'd recommend the Sears in West Jordan over this one. It's actually a pretty nice store. It's an old Sears, has 3 floors with the appliances and tools in the basement. Well stocked in clothes and clean throughout. The outside needs a remodel though.
I honestly very surprised that this location is still open, it really is falling apart. Like others have stated, the employees here really don't care for you, you are the lowest priority for them apart from standing around and trying to look busy. I'd say if you are looking for customer service, this place isn't for you, the only reason I come here is the low prices, that's it. If there aren't great deals, I just leave, I don't bother just like the employees, why should I give money to them. If you can, go somewhere better, you may encounter higher prices but I bet the employees will be ten times better.
Had Sears do some tile work for me. I expected with the price they gave me I would be getting top of the line work where there were many others who were willing to do it for less. But I'm a sucker when it comes to a salesman coming into my home and pressuring me to make a decision on the spot. So long story short, they told me they'd do a lot more than they actually did and the quality was what I'd expect out of someone who didn't know what they were doing. During the installation, i told them what was in the quote they gave me, and they just told me they weren't given the parts to do it. And I waited for about two months without hearing any kind of updates and I thought they had probably just forgotten about me. And the grout looks nothing like the sample. As big as sears is I would expect top of the line customer service and detailed fallow through. I will not use them for any future projects.
Just a heads up to those taking advantage of the going out of business sale. Price check, price check! They have multiple items marked down, but the prices are steeply inflated. We were looking at an elliptical for 2499, sears online has it for 1100 and they won’t price match. Same with the Weider Pro weight rack, it’s 599 downtown and you get 30% off of that with the going out of business sale, of course in Jordan Landing the same rack is 299. They won’t price match or give further discounts for floor models. They are also no longer accepting returns. The employees are empathetic, but totally swamped and not empowered to make any price matching. I sure feel bad for the few remaining employees, I have no idea how they’ve convinced these people to stay with the store until closing. This is the management style that has led to the demise of sears. Bummer man.
It's also apparent that they care little about their customers based on other negative reviews without trying to resolve any. They're all about getting the sale which is quickly going out of style in today's market.
