(Yes, I bring my own reusable bags but it's the principle. I support stores who support the environment)
This is a smaller store so you may not find everything you would expect at a regular sized Walmart. It is clean, but I have found staff there to be generally unhelpful if you can't find something. They have great prices on U of U apparel.
Their lack of respect for the environment is one of the things that makes me think twice before I shop there
I asked a couple of weeks ago about moving their bike racks and picnic table and people in wheelchairs and those using strollers don't have to walk in the street where drivers go by at 30 miles an hour or motorcycles popping wheelies. Still has not happened. It appears when presented a safety concern to the store they don't care.
My biggest gripe with Wal-Mart is the fact that they do not offer paper bags. They only have plastic bags and there's plastic everywhere
I have never witnessed so many employees who would not help a lady in all my life. An elderly lady who was three people in front of me in the check out line needed help in getting some Water Softener Salts from the front sidewalk of the store into her car. The checkout girl told her to speak with the gentleman at the front of the store for assistance. When I had reached the checkout, the lady was still waiting at the front of the store, after a young man had come up and asked the checkout girl who needed help. He was at the self check out desk, the lady was waiting at the security 'chair' and then the man at the security chair got up and wandered down to the Customer Service. When I reached her (after at least 5 minutes), I asked her if I could help get her two bags into her car. The security man just huffed and grumbled as he walked away AGAIN, and the young man turned around like he hadn't heard. What HORRID customer service!!! It took me about 45 seconds to put the bags in her car after she had pulled it around. I was appalled at the lack of attention and help. They should all be reprimanded and given a stiff talking to... if I was one of their mothers I'd be ashamed ...
I like this Walmart. It is less crowded than the other Walmart's. It is usually stocked with things I need. The only thing is they don't have an Auto parts department. I was stuck here one night after locking my keys in my car and they were not very helpful. The employee's just saw me sitting there for 2 hours. But oh well it is Walmart after all.
It's Walmart....That said, the Parleys Way store is better than most
