While Mike is a lovely guy, I think the local operation is simply a mess.
And here's the worst bit....we've been charged by Expedia.
Love Hertz but avoid this location like the plague. After all was said and done they had zero cars available for multiple reservations. Had to Uber to airport to pick up a car, the airport Hertz process was spectacular.
He told me this never happens...but from the reviews I'd say this is a selective memory.
Exactly like the other reviews said. This place is staffed by morons. Spent over 2 hours bouncing between the SLC locations trying to get the vehicle I rented months in advance. Avoid at all costs.
Went here to pick up my rental and waited 35 min to get helped. The computers were "down" so things were taking longer. The individual Mike was apologetic and did his best to help me. When I came back to drop off my vehicle I arrived 10 min before 8:00 am so that I could drop off the car and catch my train. I waited for an hour to be helped. Hetz has never let me down but this isn't so enjoyable. Mike was very helpful and did his best.
Mike tried for 2 hours to get a car for us and ended up with nothing. Then he called the Call Centre who confirmed the Main Street location had a 4-Runner or similar. Mike called them and they didn't.
Went to pick up our car reservation but the location was closed. Waited an hour and called customer service 3 times with no one that could help me. Was told corporate would call me back with a solution. Finally I called a Hertz location near by and they sent an Uber to bring us to their location.
Well, this was disappointing.
Not sure what type of business these guys are running but shonky comes to mind.
We reserved a 4-Runner through Expedia for a 3 PM pickup and arrived @ 3 PM. There were 4 groups ahead of us who had been waiting for hours for cars.
